Let’s say I am working with someone that doesn’t have Anyportrait, would that even be possible?
In this scenario, I am the artist/animator, and my teammate would be the programmer.
When I exported whole scene, and loaded it in another project, it seems like it’s working
But when I created new scene, and then copied only the character, the character wasn’t visible, I assume new baking is needed
And then after installing demo version of Anyportrait to the new project, I was able to bake it to the new scene. And it seems like it’s working. But since I am not a programmer, I can’t verify if this is in usable state or not…

I guess I can use screen capture function to make sprite sheet: https://rainyrizzle.github.io/en/AdvancedManual/AD_ScreenCapture.html
But then this kinda defeats the purpose of using a skeletal animation tool… Also all the jiggle bone stuff would be lost… so I hope it is possible to cooperate with someone who doesn’t own Anyportrait…

Hi!
Since AnyPortrait is an extension that includes not only an editor but also an execution tool, it is recommended that all Unity users have AnyPortrait if possible.
This is specified in the license for extensions on the Asset Store. In principle, we do not offer any other methods, and this is also a sensitive issue related to our revenue.
Therefore, we suggest that all users asking similar questions purchase it if possible. However, if you are a student or part of a small indie team that is not yet generating revenue, we would like to discreetly suggest that you simply purchase the asset with a single license and flexibly utilize them with your team members. 🙂
(Strictly speaking, this is a license violation, and if your team has sufficient capital, you must purchase licenses tailored to your team composition.)In addition, we would like to provide further answers regarding a few points included in your question.
1. The demo version has some features restricted even within the runtime version.
In other words, if you place a character created in the full version into a demo project, the functionality will be restricted again, so this is not a recommended method.2. The created character is saved as part of a Scene by default.
Therefore, methods such as exporting the Scene or saving as a Prefab and then exporting are utilized.
Also, since the character is rendered using dynamically generated materials, it will not render immediately after being exported to another project or Scene.
In this case, if you perform a Bake again or simply run the game, the dynamic materials will be generated and rendering will proceed normally.
Please read the following manual regarding the method of exporting to another project.
https://rainyrizzle.github.io/en/AdvancedManual/AD_ExportToProject.htmlSince the question involved not only technical issues but also licensing matters, we were unable to provide a very formal response.
We ask for your understanding.
Thank you.July 21, 2026 at 2:38 pm #1621merky water
thanks for all the answers so far!
I was hoping to use it in a gamejam, guess I’ll have to use spritesheet capture
I tried it, and it was better than I expected
