I read in latest updates that you've been improving the text colour but it seems like you might have missed some. I've attached a screenshot of the problem area. I am using the dark skin of Unity.
We haven't been able to find the cause of this bug, but we've made some improvements over the temporary solution we gave you in today's updated version.
Even if a problem occurs with the Unity editor's built-in skin related to UI color, the UI is drawn properly.
Try updating AnyPortrait v1.4.6 and let us know if the problem happens again!
But now I am curious about the mention of assets that may have changed the default editor skin. I do not recall using assets that would do that and as far as I understand every new Unity install should have its own resources, except perhaps if there are shared settings somewhere. I'll investigate.

Thank you for your feedback.
That seems to work.

Thanks.
Hi!
We tried to identify the problem while checking the screenshots you attached.
We still don't fully know what's causing the problem, but we've found where it's occurring.
To put it simply, AnyPortrait shares Unity Editor's "Editor Skin (a.k.a GUI Skin)".
Therefore, when "Editor Skin" is changed, the appearance of the AnyPortrait editor also changes slightly.
Judging from the screenshots you uploaded, the problem is not just the color of the UI, but the "outline of boxes" as well.
This is because, in the current version of the AnyPortrait editor, outlines are not visible in that UIs.
In conclusion, we think that your Unity Editor preferences or external assets may have modified the default value of "Editor Skin".
If so, not only the animation UI but also AnyPortrait's other UIs may look different than we intended.
Anyway, the urgent issue is "the color of the animation UI".
So, try to apply the following file we have attached to your project.
We modified scripts for the UI to have a separate skin value from the Unity editor's.
After we check the results of your case, we will decide whether to apply this to the next version.
We've identified the issue, but we don't yet fully know what's causing the problem, so maybe this file won't fix the problem.
If this doesn't solve your problem, please leave a comment.
Or, when you have a problem solved, we will appreciate it if you leave a comment.
And, if you use another asset related to Unity Editor, etc., please let us know.
It will help us improve AnyPortrait.
Thanks!
I've created a new project in Unity 2022.3.5f1 <DX11> to test and this is the results for dark mode and light mode.
I've also done "Restore Editor Default Settings" and "Reset Editor", but it does not change to result.
Hi!
As you mentioned, in AnyPortrait v1.4.5, we made improvements to make the animation UI clearer and more colorful.
And as in previous versions, the color of the text will be either white or black depending on the lightness of the background color.
Looking at the screenshot you attached, it appears that the white/black color of the text is misidentified (especially, black-colored text).
However, what we noticed was that the "Background color of the Layer UI", not the text color, was different from what we implemented.
The image above is the updated result in Unity 2022.3.5 (Dark Mode).
The colors are brighter, and the layers are more saturated than in the previous version.
Based on this UI color, the text color (white/black) is determined.
And then, the colors in the UI you attached are much darker and less saturated than that we attached.
In other words, the problem can be summarized as "a bug where the updated background color of the animated UI was not applied properly".
This issue may be due to a cause we have not been able to determine.
For now, here's what we recommend:
- Close the AnyPortrait editor and execute it again.
- If the problem is not resolved, close Unity Editor and execute it again.
If the problem is not resolved, please let us know again.
When leaving a comment, let us know if you use options related to the Unity Editor UI or external assets related to the editor's appearance.
It will help us review the problem.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Thank you for checking and leaving a comment.
